For audio the plan is to use icecast (or muse) on the desktop pc, streamingserver will be located at hosting.puscii.nl.

Video: broadcasting/encoding using mac, streamingserver located at hosting.puscii.nl as well. Be sure to plug the output of the mackie into the mic of the camera, so there won't be any hassle with A/V sync. For getting the stream running, use the following command:
dvgrab --format raw - | ffmpeg2theora -f dv -x 320 -y 280 -V 250 -o /dev/stdout - | oggfwd <server> <port> <passwd> <mountpoint>
