How the Conferences will workBelow we will be giving some information about how we are organizing the conferences. Please try those tools we are proposing in here BEFORE THE CONFERENCE. If your group has any questions or need any help getting the infrastructure together to participate. Please get in touch with us by the list or the irc channel. There are many groups who can help with information and/or resources (i.e: audio stream server for you to use for the local stream) and so on. Virtual Conferences ScheduleThe distributed TechMeet's will have 3 sundays where the local gatherings can report back to each others and also do presentations of their discussions.
Virtual Conferences OrganizationWe will use 3 tools for our virtual conferences: First we will meet at the time/date showed at the schedule above on irc. Hopefully each location will have their infrastructure set up for it before the conference start. Each location will be doing a audio stream and this will be the way they will do their presentations/reports back, and also participate on the discussions. The irc will be for coordinating the order of talking. To avoid delay which would be created by mixing the streamms etc. We decided that the 'turn' will be called on irc and the link to the local stream will be passed so people can hear it. We are also encouraging people who can do video stream or have a web camera or any kind of video/image exchanging going to do it! :) We are not focusing the discussions to be using those tools but it would be great to see some faces besides irc log :P
